- PRIVACY is four ASCII text files discussing the topic of privacy in data
- transmission. Apparently the Clinton Administration is making efforts
- to limit the availability of Public Key Encryption systems (see Pretty
- Good Privacy--PGP23A and the PGP Shell program--PGPSHL06 in the MODEMS
- category for that program and support files). The articles are: "Right
- to E-Mail Privacy Would Seem Self-Evident;" "Jackboots on the Infobahn,"
- and "Public Keys Allow Tight Security." The final file is the record
- of Phil Zimmerman, the author of PGP, speaking before a House
- Sub-Committee. I recommend these files to you. They are well written
- and very informative.
